Woke FBI and the Raid on Mar-a-Lago

Elections matter!

Grass root conservatives who have been fighting for election integrity have been saying this over and over since the fraudulent election of 2020.  Election-steal -deniers need to wake up and see what they unleashed with the “election” (so-called) of phony Joey – you know, the “scrappy kid from Scranton,” as Obama said.  Middle of the road, bridge builder Joe?  Turned extreme left-wing despot!

The recent FBI raid on Trump’s Mar-a Lago estate is a frightening representation of just how off the rails and dangerous to democracy Biden and his gang are.

As outrage continues to pour out over the nation in response to the White House-driven weaponized FBI raid, consider these observations.

When a President leaves office, he is not supposed to take public records with him.  The unclassified documents are to be turned over to the National Archives as they are viewed as belonging to the American people.

A President is not supposed to take classified documents either, which are to be maintained in very secure places.

Former Clinton national security adviser Sandy Berger only received a misdemeanor slap on the hand charge for stuffing classified documents down his pants.  The FBI investigated Clinton’s shabby and illegal handling of classified emails, but they never raided her home or offices.  Clinton’s hard drive was wiped clean, and her aides destroyed her mobile devices with a hammer, while her attorney deleted about 33,000 emails.  She was never charged with a crime. Go figure!

Keep in mind that as President, Trump had plenary authority to declassify any document.  Kash Patel, who served in several positions in the Trump administration, including Chief of Staff at the Pentagon, said “Trump declassified whole sets of materials in anticipation of leaving government that he thought the American public should have the right to read themselves”.

Yet Trump was the one raided by the FBI.

Acclaimed Presidential Historian, Craig Shirley, said, “This has never been done before with a president or former president in American history. This is, without a doubt, one of the biggest days in American history.  You can’t minimize it.”

Trump was subpoenaed in June.  He turned over multiple boxes of documents. Typically, if the DOJ wasn’t satisfied and felt that there were more documents to be retrieved, they would go to court and litigate the subpoena.  This would give the Trump attorneys the opportunity to say, “We did comply with what you asked, or “the request was overly broad,” or “we don’t have what you are requesting.”  Both sides would work out a solution.  This didn’t happen.  Instead, the DOJ waited two months, then obtained a search warrant.  These are usually issued when there is an emergency.  They obtained the search warrant on a Friday but waited until Monday to execute the raid.  Where was the emergency?

No less than liberal Democrat and former Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz stated that “of course” the raid was politically motivated.

“This is an Al Capone prosecution. They couldn’t get Capone on what [they] really wanted to get him on, so they got him on tax evasion,” he said. “This is a Lavrentiy Beria prosecution. Beria said to Stalin, ‘Show me the man, and I’ll find you the crime.’ They’re looking too hard for crimes with which to charge Trump. Their goal is to get him.”

If someone removes or destroys protected government documents, they face a penalty in the form of a fine or imprisonment under several federal statutes.  This could also include being disqualified from holding any office in the United States.  That is what the Biden administration and FBI are really going after.  In fact, it has been suggested what they really want is Trump’s personal papers regarding the Russian collusion hoax, which would exonerate Trump.

Dershowitz further said that the raid was unconstitutional.” He said that he probably has more experience with the Fourth Amendment than any other academic in America.  The Fourth Amendment protects American citizens from unreasonable searches and seizures.   The notion that somehow the search warrant must have real merit because a judge granted it is bogus also.  Dershowitz, from his 60 years of experience with this issue, said he never has seen a judge turn down a request for a search warrant.  They give them out as readily as Halloween candy.

The FBI performed illegally in regards to the Russian collusion hoax, and now they are at it again- ripping apart the law and due process.

In June 2020, FBI agents took a knee at a Marxist BLM protest. Former Rep Bob Barr responded to the disgraceful act:

“The FBI now has morphed into a pale reflection of its former self — almost a parody. Last week, in a scene I never dreamt I would see, a group of FBI personnel were photographed kneeling before some of the protesters who had wreaked havoc on the streets of our nation’s capital city. The kneelers all wore protective vests with “FBI” emblazoned thereon and were equipped with holstered sidearms.”

The eminent military historian Victor Davis Hanson vehemently states that the FBI should be broken up and its primary functions shifted to other departments within the federal government.  He says that the FBI is beyond redemption and is a great threat to democracy.  We have former FBI directors and officials who have leaked confidential memos, lied under oath, or claimed “amnesia” (try that with the IRS!), selectively prosecuted one person, but another one gets a free pass.  They act like the East German Stasi did in the cold war.

In the past, disputes over presidential papers and documents were adjudicated. Barack Obama spent $36 million resisting efforts to turn papers over during his tenure as president.  Prior to leaving office, he notified the National Archives that he would keep his presidential records under wraps for 12 years.  And this from the man who, when he was running for the Presidency, claimed he would have the most transparent administration ever!   George Bush issued an executive order and said,  “No, not turning them over.” Former Attorney General Eric Holder said “No” when he was called for a congressional subpoena in relation to Fast and Furious documents.  And so it goes. The FBI did not descend on them with a heavy-handed raid on their private homes.

By way of hypocritical contrast, Peter Navarro, former White House economic adviser under Trump, was recently arrested by the FBI and handcuffed for refusing to testify before the partisan Jan 6 committee ie contempt of Congress.  He was later subjected to the placement of leg irons.  He was arrested at Reagan National Airport near Washington DC.  It is not like he was attempting to flee the country as he was at an airport servicing mostly domestic flights.

In the words of lawyer and veteran journalist Greta Van Susteren

“They (the FBI) show up like gangbusters at Reagan Airport, and they put handcuffs on him and leg cuffs on him for two misdemeanors. I practiced law in this community for many years as a criminal defense attorney— nobody gets that from a misdemeanor. Nobody even gets time for a misdemeanor.… Why did they do that overkill? And that’s the problem, is that they should have first tried to get [Navarro] at his house and see if he’d volunteer. I mean, these are misdemeanors. These are not felonies. This is not armed robbery.”

Note that this was one day after he vowed to help Republicans impeach President Joe Biden. Now Navarro has to enlist legal help, stating: “This is going to cost a half a million dollars, from what I’m being told.  I’ll be eating dog food if I stay out of jail.”

Who dares to oppose Supreme Leader Biden and crew with the frightening prospect of this kind of fallout?

We no longer live in a Republic, except possibly a banana variety. It was once said:

“Instead of politicians, let the monkeys govern the countries; at least they will steal only the bananas!” -Mehmet Murat ildan

Unfortunately, the current occupant of the White House has stolen the American Dream that includes respect for the rule of law, constitutional rights, and federalism with the separation of powers.
